This Cookie Notice explains how Somak Global Solutions - F.Z.C ("SOMAK", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, on this website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in a comparable way.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They do not require your consent. We use them to:

• remember your language preference (English or Arabic);
• record your cookie choices, so that we do not ask you again on every visit and can respect your decision; and
• maintain secure sessions for authorised administrators who sign in to manage the website. Visitors who do not sign in do not receive this cookie.

They may also support basic security functions, such as protecting forms against automated abuse. We use two: somak_consent, which remembers your cookie choice, and somak_admin, which is set only for authorised staff signing in to the website administration area. If form protection by Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie.

Optional analytics cookies

If enabled, analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive, so that we can improve it. These cookies are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner or settings. If you do not consent, no analytics cookies are placed. At present, no analytics service is enabled on this website. If we enable one, we will update this policy first.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this website.

Managing your choices

• Cookie banner and settings. When you first visit, you can accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer.
• Withdrawing consent. If you withdraw consent, we will stop placing analytics cookies from that point. Withdrawal does not affect use before you withdrew.

Cookie durations

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period, such as the time needed to remember your consent choice, after which they expire. somak_consent lasts 180 days; somak_admin lasts up to 8 hours.

We may update this Cookie Notice if we change the cookies we use or if applicable law or guidance changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Where changes affect optional cookies, we will ask for your consent again where required.
