International Trade Services

Trade & Commercial Brokerage

Connecting credible buyers and suppliers across borders, with diligence built into every step.

Commercial sourcing, buyer–supplier introductions, trading agency and brokerage services from the UAE, structured around due diligence, clear documentation and coordinated execution.

Cross-border trade rarely fails for lack of demand. It fails because the counterparty was not who they claimed to be, the specification was misunderstood, the documents did not match the shipment, or nobody owned the follow-through. SOMAK Global Solutions works on the commercial side of that equation: identifying credible opportunities, introducing the right parties and coordinating transactions so that both sides understand exactly what has been agreed.

Operating from the Ajman Free Zone and licensed for commercial brokerage, trading agency activity and wholesale on a fee or contract basis, we act as an informed intermediary between buyers, suppliers and manufacturers in the UAE, the wider GCC and international markets. Our role is defined in writing at the outset — whether we are sourcing on your behalf, representing your products, or brokering a specific deal — so that fees, responsibilities and expectations are transparent from the first conversation.

Every engagement is built on screening rather than speed. Before we make an introduction or progress a transaction, we carry out proportionate due diligence and know-your-customer checks, screen parties and goods against applicable sanctions and export-control requirements, and confirm whether permits or approvals are needed for the goods in question. We cannot guarantee that a buyer or supplier will commit, but we can make sure that the opportunities you pursue are real, documented and commercially sound.

A defined, licensed mandate

Our licence covers commercial brokerage, trading agencies and wholesale on a fee or contract basis. Each engagement sets out our role, scope and remuneration before any work begins.

Diligence before introduction

Counterparties are subject to proportionate KYC, sanctions and export-control screening before we connect them with you. Unverified opportunities do not progress.

Documentation discipline

We help align quotations, specifications, contracts, Incoterms® rules and shipping documents, so that what is agreed on paper matches what is delivered.

Independent and transparent

We disclose how we are paid and whom we represent. Where interests could conflict, we say so and agree how they will be managed.

How we work

  1. Step 1

    Brief and mandate

We clarify the product or opportunity, target markets, volumes, quality standards and commercial parameters, then agree a written mandate covering scope, exclusivity and fees.

  2. Step 2

    Screening and due diligence

Prospective counterparties and goods are checked for identity, trading history where available, sanctions and export-control exposure, and any permit or licensing requirements.

  3. Step 3

    Sourcing and introductions

We shortlist suitable suppliers or buyers, request comparable offers and arrange structured introductions with the information each side needs to evaluate the opportunity.

  4. Step 4

    Negotiation and coordination

We support commercial negotiation and coordinate terms, specifications, Incoterms® rules, payment mechanisms and documentation between the parties.

  5. Step 5

    Execution follow-through

Through to delivery, we track milestones, liaise with logistics and inspection providers, and keep both sides informed until the transaction closes.

Important note

SOMAK Global Solutions does not guarantee the conclusion of any transaction or the performance of any counterparty. All engagements are subject to due diligence, KYC, and sanctions and export-control screening. Certain goods require import or export permits or other approvals from the relevant authorities, which remain the responsibility of the importer or exporter of record. Commercial agency arrangements in the UAE may be subject to the applicable commercial agency law and registration requirements; independent legal advice is recommended.

Do you guarantee that you will find a buyer or supplier?+

No. We commit to a structured, diligent search and to presenting only opportunities that pass our screening, but whether a transaction proceeds depends on the parties, market conditions and commercial terms. Our fee structure and success criteria are agreed in writing before work begins, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

How do you verify the counterparties you introduce?+

We apply proportionate know-your-customer checks covering corporate identity, ownership and authorised signatories, and we screen parties against applicable sanctions lists. Depending on the transaction, we may also request trade references, product certifications or third-party inspection. Where information cannot be verified to a reasonable standard, we will not progress the introduction.

Can you help with restricted or controlled goods?+

Some goods require import or export permits, product registrations or approvals from UAE authorities or authorities in the origin or destination country. We identify these requirements early and coordinate with the relevant parties, but responsibility for obtaining permits rests with the importer or exporter of record. We do not handle goods or transactions that are prohibited or subject to sanctions.

Can SOMAK act as our commercial agent in the UAE?+

We can represent suppliers and products commercially under a trading agency arrangement tailored to your objectives. Commercial agency in the UAE is subject to the applicable commercial agency law and, where relevant, registration requirements, which can affect exclusivity and termination rights. We recommend that both parties take independent legal advice before entering a formal agency agreement.

How are your brokerage and agency fees structured?+

Fees depend on the mandate and may include a retainer, a fixed engagement fee, a success-based commission, or a combination. We agree the basis, the trigger for payment and any exclusivity in writing at the outset. We disclose our remuneration to our client and, where we receive payment from more than one party, we say so.
